I advocate weight loss hypnosis in Solihull but I personally include a number of additional support tools. Why? Because I do not believe that weight loss hypnosis alone works. Experience has taught me that clients need additional support. They also need to bring along their own sense of motivation and of course a positive attitude. WEIGHT LOSS HYPNOTHERAPY IN SOLIHULL KEY AREA 1: MIND PROGRAMMING
I use weight loss hypnosis as part of my mind programming protocol. This is an advanced form of weight loss hypnosis where I use a strong, positive, motivational tone. I want clients to feel motivated as they experience the weight loss hypnosis and to also feel that they are regaining control over food. The positive suggestions during mind programming help a client to also create an aversion to being too fat. I use that aversion to catapult the client into a state of motivation to live the slimmer life. I am not an advocate of using relaxation in the consulting room when supporting a client to lose weight. Clients need to feel as though Fat is history. Let’s face it, Weight Loss really is about a sustained motivation. The weight loss hypnosis form of mind programming helps to trigger willpower, something that everyone needs when they want to lose weight and keep it off. My goal is that my client leaves my consulting room feeling more motivated than they have in a long, long time. I also teach the client how to use self hypnosis for weight loss which I call S.I.M – Self Induced Mindset Programming. This acts as an SOS tool for clients to use in times of need, for example to avoid caving in to fake hunger, manage emotional eating and trigger an instant state of will power.
WEIGHT LOSS HYPNOTHERAPY IN SOLIHULL KEY AREA 2: THE 80-20 MEAL PLANNING SYSTEM
It’s important to give clients a meal planning system. Years of embedded habits means clients may be unsure how to organise themselves to eat less and eat better. My 80-20 meal planning system means clients do the following:-
I) Firstly the client reflects on their eating habits. The client takes an honest look at what they have been eating and also how much.
II) Having looked at the intake of food the client is encouraged to make sensible adjustments so that they begin eating healthily 80% of the time and enjoy a bit of what they fancy for the remaining 20%. This helps to ensure no rigid fad diet is undertaken. After all rigid diets often fail and the 80-20 routine means clients feel less straight jacketed. They love it!
III) Once changes are identified it is important the client also eats less. I use a range of creative portion control techniques. One of my favourites is to get a client to eat in front of their favourite item of clothing they want to fit into.

Food for many is a bit of an addiction. Yes, the mind programming weight loss hypnosis will help release the addiction but it’s important I coach the client to modify their behaviours. I advocate a practical no nonsense straight talking style of motivational coaching. I find the woo woo style of coaching achieves little. Getting the client to use a range of practical techniques helps them to acquire new behaviours aligned to positive weight management. For example, I use a number of distraction techniques to help the client forget about food as well as motivational self talk to help clients manage cravings and maintain self control around food. Yes, I say it as it is. I allow no excuses because excuses keep you fat. And if a client wants a head tilting counsellor, I tell them to go elsewhere. Years of experience has taught me that you have to be strong when helping someone lose weight and my personality style is far from wet and woo woo. And yes, clients love it! I recommend whoever you work with to help you lose weight that you select someone who will be firm with you. After all you want and deserve a positive result.
