What is Weight Loss Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is the process of enabling a client to relax deeply so that the hypnotherapist can support the clients mind at an unconscious level, helping them to make beneficial and positive changes for the better. Clients become more in control of food, motivated and focused to lose weight and keep it off.
Is it safe?
Completely and it is recognised by the British Medical Association.
What do clients need to do before visiting a hypnotherapist?
Clients need to be motivated and prepared to work in co-operation with their hypnotherapist so that changes can be made quickly. Above all they should also see the process as exciting and positive.
Is the client always in control?
Absolutely, clients maintain control throughout the process and enjoy a state of physical and mental relaxation.
How does hypnotherapy help clients lose weight?
Thre are three key ways in which hypnotherapy helps the client to lose weight. Firstly the hypnosis will help you release any mind programs that are blocking the weight loss. Secondly the hypnotherapist uses a number of tools to help program the clients mind for successful weight loss and finally the hypnotherapist embeds positive suggestion for long term weight control.
Do you set homework between sessions?
Yes. Clients are taught self hypnosis so asked to do this between sessions. Also, clients are asked to follow meals plans and carry out a number of activities agreed in the sessions.
What qualifications do you have as a hypnotherapist?
I am a Distinction Graduate of the London College of Clinical Hypnosis and a full member of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis. In addition I am completing a Masters degree in Clinical Hypnotherapy. In 2011 I was appointed specialist advisor to the National Council of Hypnotherapy for weight control and am a published author.
How many sessions do clients need to attend?
Clients attend between 3 and 6 sessions to achieve the goal of long lasting weight control.
Are all sessions confidential?
All sessions are totally confidential.
